Indian Policymakers’ Google+ Hangout for Citizen Interaction!

Few days after Budget 2013 was announced, Indian Finance Minister Mr. P Chidambaram used Google+ Hangout platform to interact with Indian citizens. Seeing the success of that interaction, now Indian Policy makers (Planning commission members) will be using Google+ hangout to interact with aam aadmi.

People participating in this hangout will be able to ask questions and discuss the key ideas on the 12th five year plan with senior Indian policymakers like Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission and Mr. Sam Pitroda, Advisor to the PM on Public Information Infrastructure and Innovation, as well as other members of the Commission.

How to participate in this Google+ Hangout

Head over to this page – Hangout with the Planning Commission of India! #12thPlan, and confirm your participation by saying yes. That’s about it! The hangout will be held tomorrow (15th March, 2013) between 5:00pm and 6:00pm India time.

Because a single hangout can accommodate only 10 people at a time, it may not be possible for everyone to go live during hangout. In such case you can actually drop-in your question before hand on the hangout page with hashtag #12thPlan.

Also, the entire hangout will be live broadcast on their Youtube channel at – and can be viewed at later stage as well.
