Pantel has today announced launch of its new WS802C-2G Penta T-Pad Voice Calling tablet. This 8 inch tablet has a dedicated in-built sim card slot which also enables voice calling on the tablet. It can double up as your phone, and because it is bluetooth enabled, you can use a nifty bluetooth headset to make and receive calls.
This tablet may surely appeal to wide cross-section of people at it has got some good specs to go along with its competitive pricing.
WS802C-2G Penta T-Pad Specifications
This 8-inch multi-touch capacitive screen tablet has a decent 1.2GHz Cortex A8 CPU, 400 Mali GPU coupled with powerful 1GB DDRIII RAM. I think this is probably one of the the cheapest tablet with 1 GB ram that should be enough to run most of the apps. The tablet also carries a decent 8GB internal memory, which is expandable upto 32GB.
If the 2G data speed is not enough, a user can use 3G dongles through its USB port or use in-built Wi-Fi for connectivity needs. According to the site, most of the 3G dongles are supported by this Penta T-Pad.
Here are the rest of specifications:
|OS Version||Android 4.0.3|
|Processor||Cortex A8 1GHz , Mali 400 GPU|
|LCD||58’’ 4:3, 800 x 600, 16M Colours, Multi Touch Capacitive|
|External Memory||TF Card (Up to 32 GB)|
|USB Ports||Host USB + Mini USB|
|Connectivity||Supports 2G Through Inbuilt Sim Slot|
|GPS + Bluetooth||Yes|
What I like about this tablet is that it carries a powerful 5000 mAH battery that should keep the tablet running for 5-6 hours comfortably. Again, most of the tablets in this price range have around 3000 mAH battery which generally is insufficient.
The only thing I can probably pick with this tablet is the Android version. Pantel could have launched the tablet with the latest 4.2 Jelly Bean version, which would make this tablet more attractive even to tech enthusiasts as well.
As in case of all the other Penta Tabs, the Penta T-Pad WS802C also comes bundled with BSNL SIM card and has a promotional offer of 4G data for 2 months completely free of cost.
