CWC Win propels Dhoni into World’s Influential People list!

Indian Cricket Captain, who bought home the Cricket World Cup Trophy back home after 28 years has become one of the most influential man in the world according to the Times 2011 list.

According to the list, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is more influential than even the American President Barack Obama. Dhoni ranked 52nd in the list while Barack Obama came in at 86th. Interestingly, Obama’s wife Michelle came in at 22nd position.

The list is topped by Wael Ghonim who started the entire Egyptian revolution, primarily on the net and went on to become a Google Executive now! Among other notable people, Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg, came in at 6th position, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange at 9th and Ace Footballer Lionel Messi at 87th.

This year’s list has 5 Indians in it M.S. Dhoni (52nd), Mukesh Ambani (61st), V.S. Ramchandran (79th), Azeem Premji (88th) and Aruna Roy (89th).
