Google Chrome logo goes Simplistic!
Okay, I am not sure if this is news-worthy, but I am a Google Chrome fan – It has been my default browser for over a year and when Google changes its logo, there has to be something to it.
While, carrying out some routine tasks, I happened to spot the change of Chrome logo and was quite surprised to see it.
The logo looked little flatter than normal, and colors looked more vibrant. So, after searching on the net it became clear that Google guys have changed the Chrome logo. The logo has gone from being a 3D logo to becoming a 2D one.
To be honest, when Google Chrome first came out I was taken a bit aback with their logo. It was a great logo no doubt, but it was definitely not a simplistic one – The one thing that defines Google in nearly everything they do.
This change in logo has come about for precisely the same reason. In the blog post, Steve Rura, has explained:
Since Chrome is all about making your web experience as easy and clutter-free as possible, we refreshed the Chrome icon to better represent these sentiments. A simpler icon embodies the Chrome spirit — to make the web quicker, lighter, and easier for all.
I for one, have loved the new Google Chrome logo – It is much more in line with what Google stands for – Simplicity!
What do you think of this new Chrome logo?
