Just got a press release today from Pustak that they have added a new feature to their site. Apart from buying books on Pustak, users can now easily subscribe to over 47,000 international magazines.

International-Magazines

The good part is that the collection of International magazines is really humongous, you can find literally all the magazines you can think of.  Here are some of the magazines that you will find in our catalogue:

Harvard Business Review, Entrepreneur US Edition, Inc, The Oprah Magazine, The New Yorker, Men’s Fitness, Maxim, Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, Wired, PlayStation Magazine, Rolling Stone, Discover, Scientific American, Science Illustrated, Smithsonian, Astronomy and many more.

Another important aspect is that these magazines are not the Indian Editions but the international editions from  US, UK, Spanish, French, German or Russian edition magazines.

And although these are international Editions, the pricing seem to be quite reasonable.

However, there seems to be an issue – how soon will the magazine land at your doorstep after release may put you off. I went to their “”page, and here is what I found !

Magazine subscriptions offered by pustak.co.in can only be shipped within the India.

When to Expect Your First Issue: The first issue of a weekly magazine should arrive within 4 to 6 weeks of your order. The first issue of a monthly magazine should arrive within 6 to 10 weeks, unless otherwise noted.

Once you’ve placed an order at pustak.co.in, it can take one to two weeks for your subscription to be received and scheduled by the publisher. Your subscription is then added to the publisher’s next production cycle and shipped to our warehouse in the US.

For example, if your monthly subscription was ordered and received by the publisher in November, and the December issue has already shipped, your order may be added to the January mailing.

So if you are one of those who crave for those International magazines, go right ahead and subscribe, but be wary of the delays involved!

I’m definitely looking to subscribe to a couple. Did you try it through them? What’s their service like?
