WoW ! this is excellent news – Google Apps will very soon support services offered by Google, like Youtube, Google Voice, BlogSpot etc. This is really a big development, bigger than you can imagine.

I have been using Google Apps for trak.in over past 3 years, and I absolutely love what they have to offer. Google Apps is especially a boon to small and medium sized enterprises. Couple of months back Google Apps added support for applications from Google Marketplace which could be directly integrated with your google apps domain.

Now, according to latest blog post on their official blog, Google has announced that they will be supporting majority of other google service for Google Apps. Currently, Google apps offers mail, docs, calendar & sites as part of their core services.

So what does this mean? Basically, if you have a domain registered on Google Apps, you can use all their services under your own domain.

For e.g: coworkers and Colleagues will be able to publish their organization’s blog on Blogger, share project images with Picasa Web Albums, track industry news in Google Reader, advertise online with AdWords and much more, all without switching back and forth between multiple accounts.

The reason why I say that this development is huge – Google is slowly offering you most of services that an organization requires online / cloud. First Google Marketplace integration and now new service addition only proves that they are moving towards a larger goal of getting all the business functions online, where a business can completely operate under one umbrella of google service, but under your own domain / business name.

To simply put, Google is offering a White label solution for every aspect / function of your business!

But, all these extra features will be part of the Premier edition only and not for the Standard edition.

    Hi Arun,

Thanks for sharing this info. Will check it out.

In fact, an unrelated piece of info share. One can download the Google app from iPhone app store. What is cool about this is it allows voice search instead of the standard text type search. In addition with a click on ‘Apps’ button, to access mail, calendar, maps, earth and all other apps on the iphone without downloading separate apps for them.
