There are so many reports out there – which one should be believed?

Here is another one – I think the most recent –

    http://www.spamhaus.org/statistics/countries.lasso

This is what Wikipedia says –

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_%28electronic%29#Geographical_origins

  2. Manish Sinha says

This report looks unusual. Usually when we hear about spams, the top three countries which come to one’s mind is US, China and Russia.

I could never think that India can spam so much. Yeah. Me too kinda bloggers can spam you to hell to promote their shitty blogs which feature “Opera 10.5 released” which contains copy-pasted information.

  3. Saurabh says

I call BS. Nearly half of the spam I get is from China (followed closely by US). I know as I regularly report spam to ISPs.

  4. Pradeep says

    Hi Prabhu,
you are giving shock after shock :)
Really it is hard to believe that India is topping the list and Delhi is at 3rd place world-wide

with regard to spamming, i think the most of the spam email that I receive comes from outside India. specially in google and India Spam emails are mostly from the social sites and to promote products/services by the webmasters.

  5. Vishal Sanjay says

This is pretty shocking, if anyone would be asked for which country would produce most spam on the internet, the common answer would be USA or some European countries.

I guess Delhi and Mumbai is where most of the bloggers and webmasters are situated.

    1. Arun Prabhudesai says

Are you implying that most of the bloggers are spammers ;D

      1. Vishal Sanjay says

Well most of mu blogger friends (including me) believe in spamming to promote ourselves and its a common thought that a person would spam only for some benefits, and according to me the only ones who stand to gain with spamming are bloggers, webmasters and internet marketers.
