    Microsoft has seldom won brownie points from the masses whenever it comes to the “oomph” or the “WOW” factor. If I may not speak for the masses, at least I always felt so.

    Windows7 Microsoft does a ‘WOW’ with the Aggregation of the “Windows 7” Buzz

    With the “oomph” factor it is not necessarily with exceptional product features but even small yet amazing additions which even though don’t solve a specific purpose but help the people take notice and appreciate it.

    Case in point:: The Google Doodle- A very minor yet noticeable factor that gets people talking.

    But, with the Windows 7 launch Microsoft is trying to get its footing right and how -Windows 7 has won accolades from the Tech Community (Not Microsoft bashers).

    There are indications that Microsoft has finally got it right with Windows 7. But, that’s not it. Microsoft has gone ahead and implemented a brilliant aggregation of the buzz surrounding the Windows 7 launch, which is aptly named,

    What people are saying about Windows 7

    A brilliant execution of bringing the “Windows 7” social chatter together. The page is abuzz with activity with data updating real-time across all platforms. They have pretty much included the most active Social Channels and further “beautified” the whole experience with some stats and graphs.

    I initially thought of the action as “EGO Boost” but even if it is, the simple aggregation across the platform is decent enough to gauge the community views on Windows 7.

    I have been watching the space for some time and until and unless Microsoft is filtering the “bad” chatter, the response of the junta towards the launch makes me say,

    Windows 7 might just be here to stay

    Even if it is not, I especially liked the execution. A platform like this can be a boon for a startup or an enterprise who are serious about their Online Presence.

    What say you??

    PS:: This is not a Windows 7 post and I am not a Windows 7 boy or anything Its just an appreciation of a good execution

    Arun’s Comment: I have been using Windows 7 Ultimate for close to 3 weeks now, and I am thoroughly impressed – I think Windows 7 has got  winner here. Get your hands on it as soon as you can – you will not regret it.

    BTW…guys, before you ask – I am neither using pirated nor Beta Version of Windows 7. I have Microsoft subscription and hence could get my hands on it before the general public release.

    @Arun

    He he he..U clarified ur position well in advance:)

    I cant wait to get my hands on Win 7 even though i am gonna get only the basic edition. With all the buzz surrounding, it better be good!!
    But, given the way Microsoft has been rather dedicated bout Win7 as is clear from their little social aggregation, i seriously think its gonna be ‘the’ OS
