Indian roads are legendary and Traffic on it, even bigger. It is a shock for any foreign national traveling. They are always amazed at how does Indian traffic system work.

But it sure works ! Best way to describe the traffic would be “Organized Chaos”

Now, this video goes one step further. Have a look at these daredevils (aka foolish people) doing stunts on a busy Delhi highway overflowing with traffic.

Look at the guy who is doing wheely with his scooter. How can you do that ? and cycle wheely, give me a break !

    Enjoy the weekend !

I am an Indian living in India, and the traffic that foreigners find ‘amazing’! and Indians refer to as ‘Organized Chaos’ .. it isn’t amazing at all. It is pure chaos and it is dangerous. Talk to any autowallah in Delhi and ask them how many accidents do they see in a day, every autowallah will tell you that they see atleast one accident a day. Go to any major hospital one night and go to the emergency ward and see the number of victims of road traffic accidents being wheeled in, lives lost in the blink of an eye; arms crushed … skulls fractured.. comoatose patients … multiple fractures.. a few months on artifical support systems with no hope of revival.

Please dont glamourise Indian roads. There is nothing remotely ‘organized’ or ‘amazing’ about them. People are dying every hour on these roads. It does NOT work.

It is nothing but sad and it overwhelms me with such an uncomfortable feeling of helplessness.
