I have come across a lot of ‘happiness’ surveys in past few years and India in most cases has managed to be in top 5 ranks.

Similar is the case with another survey conducted recently that shows young Indians are happiest and most optimistic lot in the world. Career and Work are their top priorities.

happy people Young Indians: Happiest in world | work and career top priority.

According to the report published in Indian Express:

When it comes to being satisfied with oneself Indian youths are the world’s happiest lot with career being their top priority.
Young middle-class Indians are the happiest people of all and much more satisfied with all aspects of their lives compared to other nationalities, according to a new global survey by Swedish research and consulting firm Kairos Future.
Further, work comes as top priority for Indian youth, followed by a good career and higher-status. In contrast, for those in Europe, a good living environment comes on top and above all work-related aspects, Kairos Future said.
The priorities of Indian youth — work, good career and a position with high status, are reflected in their values such as endurance and entrepreneurship.
The study included over 22,000 replies from 16-29 year old and 30-50 year old people spread across 17 countries in Europe, North America and Asia. It was aimed at providing strategic information concerning future consumers and employees to authorities, companies and organizations

    Few other happiness surveys:
Last year another survey had revealed that Indian employees are the happiest in the world.

Thanks Vasanthi for the comment. I have met very few young Indians who do not have a very bright outlook, infact I do not remember any…
One of the things that I may not have highlighted in this post is that main thrust for them is the growth of India as overall, they see tons of lucrative opportunities available in India…

It’s great to see young Indians making it to the top.Career and work being the top priorities is true. But,the first line is somewhat disagreeable.India doesn’t really stand anywhere in the top 5 of the happiness surveys.Plz have a look at this…
