The top 100 Infotech companies of the world

by Arun Prabhudesai on August 7, 2007

It is time for another top list. As you may be aware, I publish top lists from time to time on this blog. They may not be business related, but I like to posts them anyway.

Business Week recently announced the “Top 100 Infotech companies in the world”. It is an interesting list. I say it because this list includes Telecom companies as well. I am not sure if telecom companies can be considered as Infotech companies. But I guess Business Week thinks they are.

The highest rated Indian company on this list is Bharti Airtel at number 14. The other Indian companies included in the list are Tata Consultancy Services at 23, Infosys Technologies at 30, Wipro at 49 and Satyam Computer Services at 73.

Even though India is considered Infotech hub of the world, surprisingly only 5 Indian companies feature in this list. Also if Bharti is one of the top rated Companies, where is Reliance Communication ?
