Offshoring Journalism, Outsourcing in its extreme form !

by Arun Prabhudesai on May 21, 2007

Journalism for one does not fall under the purview of offshoring or for that matter even outsourcing – atleast thats what I felt till I read this article in “Information week”. Apparently a newspaper in Pasadena, California called “Pasadena Now” is paying two reporters–one in Bangalore and one in Mumbai at lowest wages possible to cover the Pasadena City Council.

I wonder how that is possible?

It may be worthwhile to prepare a list of services that can be outsourced / offshored ;)
