Microsoft India has announced final list of Indian Technology startups that will constitute the 2013 winter batch of Microsoft Ventures Accelerator.
According to the release, a total of 8 startups were shortlisted from over 1000 applications received over 2 months. The shortlisting process consisted of several rounds of screening by panel of judges from Microsoft and the Industry. Along with the 8 startups, one more startup from previous batch will be staying on during the duration of winter batch.
Few days back, Microsoft had announced unification of their three separate branches (Accelerator, Seed funding and Bizspark program) under one single umbrella called Microsoft Ventures Accelerator. The winter batch of startups will be the first batch under this unified entity.

Apart from the 9 startups, Microsoft Venture Accelerator will also associate and mentor with 4 other startups namely – HasGeek, Nanobi, Tookitaki and 1000Lookz.
