Hyundai Eon has been launched today at around Rs.3 lakh price range against Maruti’s highest selling car Alto, in the compact affordable car category. The three-cylinder 814 cc vehicle is touted to be the next-generation, jazzy four-wheeler vehicle in the low budget segment cars.
The new Hyundai Eon will hit the roads today in its six variants – D-lite, D-lite (O), Era, Magna, Magna (O) and Sportz, with a peak torque of 76.5 Nm at 4000 rpm. Further, the South Korean automaker claims to have already received pre-launch bookings for around 20000 Eon cars since October 1.
On the other hand, Maruti has introduced its limited edition Alto Xplore for its hot selling Alto Lxi and Alto-K10 Vxi models, with lucrative features such stereo player with USB and Bluetooth, leather seat covers, new body graphics, body color bumpers and Roof Spoiler.
Interestingly, this scheme has been introduced by Maruti just a couple of days prior to its competing vehicle launch of Hyundai Eon. However, this does not come at a virtual free cost for the customer; as the deliverable goodies are nullified against the dealer discount of Rs.25000 currently available on Alto cars.
