BRAZIL BUTT LIFT will be released for the price f $59.85, and will be joining the ranks of renowned at-home fitness programs which include the signatory P90X EXTREME HOME FITNESS and Shaun T’s INSANITY WORKOUT.
Leandro Carvalho revealed that The Brazilian Butt Lift fitness program began when Victoria Secret super model Alessandra Ambrosio approached him eight years ago and asked for a specific program that would shape her butt without bulking up her legs. She was worried about doing squats and other traditional exercises because they cause muscle growth where she wanted a lean body. The result was the Brazil Butt Lift program, and many more super model clients. Leandro Carvalho explained that there will be three DVD’s containing 5 workouts, along with a bonus 10 minute workout. The actual workouts will consist of one dancing workout and the other four will be sculpting. The workouts will be set to Brazilian music like samba and axe (pronounced ah-shay), and will feature music composed by DJ Boris. Light weights are recommended for maximum sculpting results (between 5-10 lbs), and the thigh toner band is also recommended along with ankle weights.
The routines themselves emphasize a number of classic dance moves such as the ballet plie, to generic leg and glute strengthening moves such as the basic squat to the fluid, core-challenging moves of Afro-Brazilian capoeira that Leandro is himself highly trained in. Afro-Brazilian capoeira is a 500 year Brazilian martial art brought over from Africa by slaves who were forced to obfuscate their fighting drills as dance’ in order to avoid the attention of the slave owners. Its combination of strikes and kicks is joined with rhythmic swaying, leaping, rolling and jumping which gives its parishioners their famously ripped physiques.
