009-09-30 12:04:15 – Disney (DIS) announced this morning it was acquiring IMAX Corporation for about $1.5 billion, or $18-20 per Imaxl shares. The acquisition price represents a 90% premium to Marvel’s current share price and although that seems high, IMAX just paid off their debt and have cut their expenses dramatically.
