UniCommerce, the makers SAAS based E-Commerce/retail order management and fulfillment platform today announced its funding from Nexus Venture Partners.
Funding details were not included in the press release sent to us. The funds will be used to aggressively expand Unicommerce business from marketing as well development perspective.
Unicommerce has a product under its umbrella called Uniware, a web-based light weight easily deployable solution that offers that complete order fulfillment lifecycle for large and medium sized e-commerce platforms and retail storefronts.
With exponential growth in the Indian E-Commerce market over last couple of years, this space is particularly hot. Inventory management and order fulfillment are key areas for success of online Indian e-tailers. They want to improve upon it, so as to make sure that order is delivered to customers in least amount of time.
Another important aspect is medium and small sized e-tailers now-a-days prefer web-based solutions rather than bulky ERP systems that are not only more expensive, but have quite a steep learning curve and are difficult to manage.
Uniware, being a web based solution is not only accessible from everywhere, but it is full-featured product where e-tailers can easily manage vendors, procurement, inventory, warehouse, shipments and even returns.
This enables enterprises and their customers to keep track on a real time basis of pending orders, order fulfillment and shipment status. The platform also auto updates inventory and order status across the entire supply chain removing possibilities of stock outs.
Uniware already boasts some good client roaster that includes names like Snapdeal.com, Jabong.com and few other ecommerce players in South East Asia and Canada. Uniware claims that it manages over 1.5 million product shipments per month across 50+ warehouses and 1000+ concurrent users.
